Pet Memorial Service
Apr 9 @ 1:00 pm

April 9th, Saturday at 1 o’clock we will honor our pets and their memories in a special memorial service. You are invited to bring or send by mail or email photos of your pets to be put on the power point by Wednesday April 22nd, no later please. The day of our service you are welcome to bring photos to share on the altar.

Sometimes our pets are closer to us than any other member of our family. They hold a special sacred place in our hearts as they give their love unconditionally.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve just lost your pet friend or if it’s been many years; our memorial service is a time to remember in love and gratitude the blessings our pets give us.

Please feel free to share this with friends and family who might be grieving. Also share with your veterinarian and other pet care people. It can be a great source of healing.

Mark your calendar for October 3rd when we will do a Pet Blessing service in connection with St. Francis Day. The Pet Blessing is especially for living pets, although some people ask to bless pets passed then also.

Metaphysics

I like to think of Metaphysics as a process by which we arrive at philosophical answers that satisfy our need for understanding. Great teachers of the past can give us insight into truth but ultimately, it is what we think and how we feel that determines our reality. It is our consciousness that shapes our experience. This class will give us an opportunity to examine what we think, feel and believe. Then we can decide if it still works and perhaps change our mind if needed. Change your mind and you can change your life! Please join me Sunday mornings, at 9:00 am. ~ Rev. Evan Coleman, LUT

Sunday School

Children are always welcome to stay in our service.  Younger children may enjoy leaving adults right after service begins.  Please have your children accompany you in the sanctuary to join in our joy singing.  They are then invited to go upstairs as the service proceeds through the meditation and talk.  The Sunday School teacher will lead them upstairs for activities, play and snacks.  Near the close of the service around 11:30am, children will be led back to re-join the congregation and receive a blessing from the congregation.

Unity Leaves No One Out

Learn about, share, and discuss the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, & Transgender) religious experience in a class Tuesdays, April 12 th & 19th from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, lead by Mickey Seefeld.
Everyone is welcome. Bring a friend!

Unity’s position statement found in the Unity LGBT Spiritual Resource Center is “Unity teaches that all people are created with sacred worth and that no one exists outside the heart of God. Its
basic principles state that God is Good, and because all people exist within God, they also are inherently good.”

Unity Lincoln’s ministry embraces and strives to live this philosophy by demonstrating our Core Value: Inclusiveness. We welcome everyone.

During our month of Honoring Diversity, we invite you to come and share this important topic and how we can each better support diversity and inclusiveness. Let’s talk! This class is for all of us to learn to better care for each other no matter what our  preferences. Let’s learn how to support healing and better support creating a loving welcoming environment. Let’s learn how to more
fully express the love of God, to be Love in action.
